In a lot of ways, John Yagmin is the Godfather of the Super X-car division, establishing himself early on as one of the drivers to keep your eye on. His personality always seemed to be a perfect fit for the Wild N’ Wacky Wednesday series.

Yagmin first visited Super X-car victory lane on Aug 20, 2003, and would win at least once in the next 8 seasons. His best season in terms of wins came in 2005 when he won the first 3 races and 7 total over the course of the season, yet he finished 5th in championship points. John won races in 11 different seasons from 2003-2017. His 28 wins in the division is more than any other competitor.

The track titles didn’t elude him long as he won the Super X-Car Championship in 2007 and again 2009. He was the 2nd driver in Speedbowl history to win multiple Super X-car titles.

John also raced in the 8-cylinder Enduro class occasionally, winning in 2010, 2012 and 2024. He also won a 4-cylinder Enduro in 2016.

Yagmin proved you didn’t have to spend a lot of money to win races and his cars would hardly be considered for any Best Appearing Car awards, yet they were always fast and he knew how to get around the Speedbowl.
