The Best Appearing Award has been given out several different eras over the course of the Speedbowl’s history. The first time we it was distributed during our research was in 1983 when Dick Williams operated the track under his Coastal Racing Association. Bob Potter won in the Modifieds and Brian DeVoe in the Super Stocks.
It was revived in 1989 when the Korteweg family took over the track and was given out annually to one car in each weekly Saturday night division through the 2003 season when Terry Eames was operating the track. Shawn Monahan revived it again in 2015 which lasted through the 2018 season. It was revived again in 2023 and has been given out annually since to one car in both Saturday and Wednesday point divisions.
