2nd generation Speedbowl driver Jason Palmer racked up wins for decades at a rate not done by many in the history of the shoreline oval.

Growing up watching his father Jags compete throughout New England in the Legend Cars, Jason would get his chance behind the wheel in he mid-2000’s at the Speedbowl. He would win his first race on July 20, 2005 in the Wild N’ Wacky Wednesday series. It started a dominant run where he would win 49 Legend Car races from 2005-2009 and 4 Legend Car Championships, including a record 3 straight on Wednesdays from 2007-2009.
Jason holds almost every major Legend Car record at the Speedbowl, most notably his 22 win season in 2009. At the time, it was 2nd only to Don Collins (23) for the most wins by a driver in any Speedbowl season. Along with his father, Jason has supported and mentored dozens of Legend Car competitors for several decades.

He moved on to the Late Models in 2010, earning Rookie of the Year honors. After winning his first race in 2011, he would go on to win 54 Late Model races through the mid-2020’s becoming the only Speedbowl driver to win 50 or more races in two different divisions. His best season was arguably 2021, when he won 10 races.
He is also a 5-time Late Model Champion (2015, 2020-2021, 2023-2024) making him a 9-time Speedbowl Champion overall. His Late Model win in the last race of the 2023 season made him the 4th driver in track history to earn 100 feature wins in their Speedbowl career.
