Harry Wyant

Harry Wyant had a relatively short tenure as a car owner at the Waterford Speedbowl, but his red #3 SK Modified was always a threat to win a race or clinch the championship.

He started out with Jimmy Broderick as his driver and they won their first race together on Sept 25, 1993. They led the division in wins in 1994 (3), 1995 (4) and 1996 (5), winning back-to-back SK Modified Championships in 1995-1996. Despite their success, and winning 3 times in 1997, Broderick & Wyant split mid-season and Harry then put Dennis Gada behind the wheel. They won in their 3rd race together late in 1997.

Then from 1998-2004, the Gada-Wyant connection dominated the SK Modified division. They won 42 races during that span, led the division in wins every year except 2004 including an unprecedented 9 wins in 1999. The never finished worse than 2nd in the points and won a record 5 consecutive SK Modified Championships from 1999-2003. Additionally in 2003, Gada was crowned NASCAR Weekly Racing Series New England Regional Champion. Wyant then retired after 7 championships in 12 seasons.

Often forgotten is that Harry Wyant returned to Speedbowl with Dennis Gada as his driver for 1 more season in 2009. Their won the final 2 races of their career together and then Harry once again left the Speedbowl scene.
