Todd Owen raced at several other southern New England tracks before coming to the Speedbowl as a weekly competitor in the late 2010’s.

Owen was no stranger to the Speedbowl, competing in numerous Modified Racing Series events prior, but in 2016 he started to compete regularly in the SK Modified division. He won his first race at Waterford on July 1, 2017 and with the exception of the pandemic-shortened 2020 season, he won at least once in every other season from 2017-2025.

Todd led the division in wins in 2022 (6) and 2023 (4). Some of his prominent wins included the 2018 Finale SK 80, a 50 lapper in 2021 and a 43 lap race in 2023.
A model of consistency, Owen finished runner-up to Kyle James in 2018 for the track title, then won 3 consecutive SK Modified Championships from 2021-2023. During those same 3 years, Owen also won 3 straight titles at Stafford Speedway – matching Phil Rondeau as the only drivers to 3-peat in the same division at both tracks.
