Josh Galvin has what we like to call “sneaky good stats” at the Speedbowl. He may not come to mind initially, but a closer look at the stats reminds you of how often he won and in how many different types of cars.

After a brief stint in the Super X-cars on Wednesday nights, Galvin moved up to the Street Stocks in 2006. The following year he won his first race and won Most Improved Driver. 2008 was another consistent year, finishing in a 3-way tie for 4th in championship points despite going winless.

Josh would find his stride in 2009 with 2 wins. It would be the first of 8 consecutive seasons with a Street Stock win, the first 6 of which he had multiple wins. He won three 50 lappers and three 30 lappers between 2009-2014. After back-to-back runner up finishes to the championship, Galvin had his career year in 2014. He won a record-tying 11 features, including 4 in a row, enroute to the Street Stock Championship. Galvin had entertaining rivalries with Walt Hovey Jr and later Corey Hutchings during this era.

After a decade in the Streeters, Josh went SK Light racing with car owner Vinny Beedle in 2015, winning 3 races, finishing 6th in points and earning Rookie of the Year honors. He also won his first career Truck race & grabbed the win in the Northeast Street Stock Tour race, giving him 3 wins in 3 different divisions in the same Speedbowl season.

Despite his open-wheel success, he returned to the Street Stocks in 2016 on a part-time basis driving for Ross Constantino, winning his last Street Stock race, and then left weekly competition at Waterford. He returned in 2021 to win an Enduro race, the 4th different division he has won in at the Speedbowl.
